" THE SYNTHESIS " 2-28-2010 POST HEALTH CARE SUMMIT EDITION
by: AJA BROOKS, OFFICIAL INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM VOLUNTEER FOR THE BLACK RIBBON OFFENSIVE CAMPAIGN AGAINST MEDIA BIAS AND GA LOBBYIST FOR "LIFE AND LIBERTY"

WHAT IS "THE SYNTHESIS"? The synthesis is an objective analysis of political journalism, an assessment of the perception of the facts, a political digest for the common man. DISCLAIMER: IF YOU'RE IGNORANT, A HYPOCRITE, OR NOT A FAN OF RAW JOURNALISM, THIS MAY NOT BE FOR YOU, AND YOU SHOULD STOP READING NOW AND JUST DELETE THIS, NOT SEND ME AN EMAIL BACK WHINING ABOUT IT, BECAUSE YOU'RE JUST GOING TO GET IT FORWARDED BACK TO YOUR OWN BOX.

(A SHORT SUMMARY OF THE BEST POINTS OF 3HRS. OF SUNDAY MORNING POLITICAL SHOWS)

AT FIRST, I WASN'T QUITE SURE WHAT TO EXPECT THE SUMMIT TO LOOK LIKE, BUT IT SEEMED IT WOULD GO DOWN LIKE THIS:

WHEN OBAMA COULDN'T BRING THE OLYMPICS TO CHICAGO, HE DECIDED TO BRING OLYMPIC STYLE ARGUING TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, AND FAR FROM BEING THE SILVER CUP CHAMPIONSHIP DEBATE OR RECONCILIATION THAT HE'D HOPED FOR, IT'S KIND OF HARD FOR AMERICANS TO TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY WHEN THIS IS HOW HE ACTED:

IF THERE'S ONE THING THAT WE SURE GOT OUT OF THE HEALTH CARE SUMMIT, IS THAT IT SEEMED OBAMA'S EGO WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN HEALTH CARE, SO IF THIS IS HIS IDEA OF "CIVIL ENGAGEMENT" OR IF HE THINKS THIS SUPERIORITY COMPLEX AND BANTER IMPRESS THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, NOTHING IS FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. MOST PEOPLE WHO WATCHED OR BLOGGED BECAME ANGRIER AND MORE RIGID ON THEIR STANCE ON HEALTH CARE, LESS WILLING TO TELL THEIR REPRESENTATIVES WHAT THEY WANTED FROM THE BILLS, IF ANYTHING, AND WHAT THEY EXPECT THE BILLS TO ACCOMPLISH ON THEIR BEHALVES. I HAVE A FEELING WE'RE GOING TO SEE EVEN MORE OF THIS FROM AMERICANS IF WE CAN'T NEGOTIATE NICELY, AS ADULTS, WITH THE PROPER FOCUS THAT THIS IS ABOUT HOW PEOPLE FEEL ABOUT PUBLIC OPTION AND USING RECONCILIATION AS A "RAMMING PROCESS":

IF IT WERE JUST AS SIMPLE AS TOSSING BACK A BEER WITH THIS GUY HOLDING THE POSTER, OR CONGRESS, THEN THE IDEA OF BEER SUMMIT WOULD'VE WORKED AT HEALTH CARE SUMMIT, BUT IT'S JUST NOT AS SIMPLE AS BEER SUMMIT:

BEER SUMMIT WENT OFF WITHOUT A HITCH, BUT THIS KIND OF ATTITUDE AT A PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE OR HEALTH CARE SUMMIT, DOES NOTHING TO CONVINCE PEOPLE THAT YOUR PLAN WAS CONCEIVED WITH THEIR BEST INTENTIONS IN MIND OR THAT YOU WENT UP TO THE CHALKBOARD AND LISTED WHAT YOU AGREED WITH AND CHECKED IT OFF FOR THE WHOLE WORLD TO SEE, AND WHAT YOU DIDN'T.

THEN GOING BACK THROUGH THE LIST DEBATING ONE-BY-ONE THE THINGS THAT YOU DON'T AGREE ON AND WHY WITHIN AN ALLOTTED AMOUNT OF TIME FOR EACH SIDE, AND THEN A PROPOSAL ON BOTH SIDES ON HOW TO RECTIFY THOSE DIFFERENCES. I REALLY WOULD'VE LIKED TO HAVE SEEN A MODERATOR, LIKE DIANE SAWYER, WHERE THIS WAS FORMATTED AND COHESIVE, NOT A TIME FOR EVERYONE TO GET THEIR PERSONAL DIGS IN ON EACH OTHER IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. SO INSTEAD, IT WAS ONE-UPMANSHIP POLITICAL THEATER, A SNAPSHOT OF THE ARGUING THAT AMERICANS HAVEN'T SEEN OPENLY THAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING IN THE SENATE AND BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, UNTIL NOW:

STILL, I THINK AT THIS POINT AMERICANS HAVE AN IDEA WHAT EACH VERSION OF THE BILLS WAS ABOUT:
  • THE BAUCUS VERSION WAS TO BELABOR US WITH PAGES OF REDUNDANCY, SO MUCH SO, THAT WE FELT THAT WE WERE BEING CHEATED OUT OF TRUE REFORM BY ALL OF THE LOOPHOLES IN THE LANGUAGE - THAT WASN'T CONCISE AND LACKED CLARITY, AND WHILE WE WERE CHOKING ON SWALLOWING THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF PAGES THAT COULD END UP PASSING, AND WE COULD SAY NOTHING IN OUR OWN DEFENSE AS THE REPUBLICANS HAD NO POWER TO SPEAK ON OUR BEHALF, WE REALIZED THAT THESE THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF PAGES EVEN LACKED THE PROPER FORMS TO STANDARDIZE THE VERY INSURANCE PROGRAMS THAT IT HAD PROMISED TO DO SO IN ORDER TO PREVENT ALL THIS WASTE, FRAUD, AND ABUSE.
  • THEN WE MOVED ONTO THE PELOSI VERSION, WHICH WAS SO ATROCIOUS AND CAPRICIOUS WITH ITS MEASURES ON ABORTION, THAT PUBLIC OPTION WOULD TAKE 100YRS. TO PAY FOR, AND THIS WAS JUST FOR THE ABORTION CLAUSE IN THE BILL, SO WE FELT WE WEREN'T GETTING HEALTH CARE AT ALL -- JUST PAYING FOR OTHER PEOPLES' ABORTIONS.
  • THEN CAME HARRY REID'S WHAMMO: HIS VERSION WAS A LITTLE LESS LENGTHY, INCLUDED MAKING US PAY FOR ABORTION AND NOT RECEIVING HEALTH CARE, BUT EVEN MORE DECEPTIVELY CUNNING IN THAT IT RETROACTIVELY TAXED EVERYONE FROM LAST YEAR'S TAXES AND THIS CURRENT TAX SEASON FOR HEALTH CARE THEY DIDN'T EVEN RECEIVE FOR A HEALTH CARE PLAN THEY NEVER GAVE THEIR APPROVAL FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE!!

THIS IS WHAT LED TO THE MA PHENOMENON:

"FOX NEWS SUNDAY" with Chris Wallace and guests John Kyl (R) and Robert Menendez (D)

WALLACE: Do they have the votes?

Menendez: wanted to see Repub. support at the Summit, I still want a bipartisan bill, though I still think we'll get the votes and this will pass this Spring.

Kyl: the reason this legislation is so highly unpopular is due to the backroom deal-making.

WALLACE: Would you offer unlimited amendments?

Kyl: Byrd says that reconciliation is for budgeting, not for bills with such sweeping change on only 20hrs. of deliberation.

WALLACE: So are you going to tie the Senate up in knots in order to stop it?

Menedez: it's only the budget areas of Public Option that reconciliation can be used on.

WALLACE: how so, like when reconciliation was used for welfare reform?

Kyl: it's only been used to get 60 votes in Senate/Byrd says that you shouldn't use reconciliation for such lengthy legislation.

WALLACE: polls are against health care reform, if Dems pass comprehensive refrom, don't Dems risk voter backlash?

Menendez: there are insurance rate hikes ahead, so I don't know why Repubs are opposed to using this process that they've used. Menendez gives a final democratic diatribe answer.

WALLACE: shows clip of Obama, does WA really know better for Americans? Did Dems really reach out or was the summit done for political points?

LET'S NOT FORGET THAT THE MA TEA PARTY REVIVAL ELECTING SCOTT BROWN WAS FOLLOWED SHORTLY AFTER BY:

Kyl: it's hard to reconcile people who want to see their own doctor, when the mandate for everyone to have health insurance really is a tax break for big insurance companies, and the people will never see that money in tax breaks.

Wallace: why not treat health care the same way as the job creation bills, by breaking them up into smaller segments to ensure that they pass and are relevant?

Menendez: just responds with rhetoric.

Wallace: Bunning blocked the unemployment extension and asked Congress how we'll pay for it, so will this extension pass?

Kyl: the unemployment bill will pass.

Chris Wallace interviews Senator Ryan

Ryan: there will be rate increases, even more so with the Democrats' plan, and BC&BS is predicting even more increases because of the money for premiums and entitlement measures.

The Republican Plan addresses covering 3 million, then the rest of the uninsured:

*Republicans are seeking the same coverage numbers
*Using refundable health credits
*w/o massively increases taxes
*w/o cutting Medicare
*w/o govt takeover of health care.

WALLACE: so everyone agrees on changing denial based on pre-existing conditions.

Ryan: you don't have to raise everyone's premiums in order to help those with pre-existing conditions/or with federally mandating everyone having coverage, but by focusing on the needs of those requiring chronic care. The Speaker is very good at back room deals!

"FOX NEWS SUNDAY PANEL" with Chris Wallace
GUESTS: the not-so-smug-this-Sunday Kristol, Liasson, Cheney, and Myna-Bird Williams

(Needless to say, I was anxious to see how many platitudes Williams would offer Obama about the Summit.)

WALLACE: it looks like Congress will use reconciliation/why was health care dead after Brown??

Liasson: I don't think it was dead, reconciliation was out there as these bills were put on the budget, and I see no other way other than the reconciliation process to hammer this out --- says contrasting Dem/Repub stuff.

Kristol: The Summit was so bad, it was an insult to dog and pony shows, I happen to like "Animal Planet"; I have a life and didn't watch it!

Wallace: The Summit was not a huge game changer, so why then push ahead???

SO WE WENT INTO THE SUMMIT WITH A LOT OF ANGRY PEOPLE, WHICH WE HAD IN 2008 -- CHECK:

WE WENT INTO THE SUMMIT IN 2010 WITH A LOT OF UNEMPLOYED AND UNINSURED PEOPLE, BUT EVEN MORE THAN IN 2008 -- CHECK.

SO WITH THAT VERY SHORT CHECK LIST, WE CAN SEE THAT OBAMA HAS CHANGED NOTHING THAT BUSH JR. EVER DID WRONG, IF IN FACT, DOING A LOT OF WRONG BY GETTING NOTHING ACCOMPLISHED AND MAKING IT WORSE IN JUST 2 SHORT YEARS !!

IN FACT, OBAMA IS SO GIFTED AND TALENTED, HE LOOKS JUST LIKE THE FAR SIDE KID PUSHING ON THE DOOR TRYING TO MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN, RATHER THAN GRABBING THE DOOR TO JOB CREATION TO ACTUALLY GET IT TO OPEN. ON THE LEFT, OBAMA IS TRYING TO WALK THROUGH A WINDOW AT THE WHITE HOUSE, SO DON'T TELL THIS MAN HE'S GOT LIMITATIONS !!

SO MANY PEOPLE ARE OUT OF WORK AND LOST THEIR JOBS, WITH OBAMA DANCING AROUND ON THE ISSUES AND PALIN DANCING AROUND AMERICA ON A HER BOOK TOUR, THE POLITICAL LANDSCAPE GREETED OBAMA'S NEW PLAN WITH RESOUNDING SILENCE RIGHT BEFORE THE HEALTH CARE SUMMIT, SOMETHING THAT I THINK OBAMA MISTOOK AS AWE, AFTER THE DEAFENING ROAR OF THE CROWDS OF MICKEY MOUSE, AND DEAD PEOPLE, AND COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO VOTED FOR HIM, WITHOUT REALLY KNOWING THAT THEY WERE VOTING THEMSELVES OUT OF A JOB AFTER GRADUATING FROM COLLEGE AND STILL HAVING TO WORK AT MCDONALD'S:
Kristol: people don't like these health care bills and that's not going to change!

Williams: Obama was breaking down the bills

WALLACE: we're going down the same road though of neglecting jobs, trying to pass it by Spring!!!

(YES, FOR LENT, OBAMA SHOULD GIVE UP BEING A LEGISLATOR AND LEAVE THE HEALTH CARE TO CONGRESS AND START BEING A LEADER, EVEN THOUGH HE NEVER DESERVED TO BE BY HANGING BY A THREAD OF COURT BRIEFINGS ON HIS CITIZENSHIP, AND SO HE NEEDS TO START WORKING ON JOBS, JOBS, JOBS, OR GET THE F--- ON SOMEWHERE!! AND IT LOOKS LIKE HE'S ALREADY SAYING....)

Cheney: Americans are concerned about cost and the substance of the bill/Pelosi is harking people to vote for this, even if it's a career-breaker!!

Kristol: it's not wise to do so, says it in Kristol language.

Liasson: flares up.

Williams: sticks to myna bird response.

Cheney: they do need to get something done though!

Liasson: it will pass!

Kristol: it won't pass!

(Then they bring up Rahm Emannuel, so let's see, there's him, Anita Dunn, Oprah moving to cable, Montel moving to infomercials and just this week, the WA event planner who let the uninvited couple break security at the White House dinner, so everyone is exiting Obama's sinking ship!!)

"MEET THE PRESS" with David Gregory, who interviews John McCain

John McCain: begins by saying reconciliation doesn't work on very important issues regarding these bills, it doesn't work on Social Security, or addressing the cuts to Medicare, and the federal mandate actually benefits insurance companies that are belly-aching that their costs will go up.

(Thanks for this clarification John, I see what you mean!!)

Gregory: okay, so now how is the bill not bipartisan even after the Summit?

McCain: it's written for Dems, by Dems, (FUNNY, I NOTICED THAT TOO WITH NOTHING BUT DIFFERENT DEMOCRATS' VERSIONS OF THE BILLS!!), and we must sit down to work on reform measures, like selling insurance across state lines, so that we can find some common ground.

Gregory: shows 1994 clip with Tim Russert.

McCain: I'm worried about public opinion. We realize that Medicare is broke in 7yrs., that Americans don't trust us, and that touting the reform costs in the legislation with restricting cheaper access to prescription drugs isn't good!

GREGORY: Has Obama's socialistic agenda gone too far???

EVEN MOTHER TERESA WOULD SAY OBAMA'S GONE TOO FAR !!!

(I WILL DEFINITELY SAY THAT OBAMA'S AGENDA HAS GONE TOO FAR!! AS A NATION WHOSE CURRENCY THAT HAD WAY MORE VALUE, WE HAVE NOW FALLEN TO WORRYING ABOUT OUR POVERTY AND OUR OWN SURVIVAL AS TO HAVE TO ABORT CHILDREN BY WORRYING ABOUT HOW MANY MOUTHS ARE ON THE WELFARE ROLL AND COVERING UNINSURED BLACKS TO RECEIVE ABORTIONS ON DEMAND, WHEN THEY'RE 3X AS LIKELY TO HAVE AN ABORTION?! AND THEN THEY WANT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT A BILLBOARD IN ATL THAT CALLS THEM OUT FOR THIS GREAT EVIL????)

McCain: we're a right-centered nation and Obama's policy making is from the far left! I want negotiations, I don't want to bow out to what's really important. You don't cut Medicare to provide funding for abortion which is not health care!!

Gregory: what is your stance now on "Don't ask -- Don't tell" ?
Plays clips of McCain, then Mullen, the Patraeus....

(I think it's not so much that other soldiers make a big deal about someone being gay as does the person who is gay. The initial point was to confine service to that of an individual while practices of sexuality weren't the focus but the mission first, so if anyone's sexuality hetero or homo, interfered with duty, it was to protect the military from showing bias, partiality, and favoritism by making homosexuality a non-issue. Therefore, if someone did choose to harass someone, then they could be charged appropriately with a hate crime or military reprimand, without the military having to be held in legal liability for discrimination when they already employ gay service people in the military.)

When it's all said and done, how do you really feel about it? Do you want to recognize someone for their gayness or the contributions that they made to the service and our country??

McCain: I think we need a careful examination of it. The Marines don't want it repealed, and after a year long study with the input from soldiers serving we can trust the results of those findings. We have the highest recruitment rates and retention, and the military doesn't want that changed.

Gregory: TARP was misleading??

McCain: yes, as Wall Street is fine, but Main Street is suffering! That was the promise, that it would raise unemployment over 10%, it's way higher than that, and that it would address the problems of the housing market which it never did.

Gregory: so you are saying that unemployment is really 25% then!

McCain: yes/his pledge was the housing market.

(LET'S NOT FORGET THEY WERE ALL TOO BUSY PLAYING POKER AROUND THE TIME OF THE EARTHQUAKE, FROM LIKE, LAST THANKSGIVING IT SEEMS....)

Gregory: on foreign policy then?
Is success like Iraq possible in Aghanistan??

McCain: It's like 2 steps forward and 1 step back, as the Afghan tribal leaders need to assert their rightful place against the Taliban. As far as our military, I've never been more proud of them.

SPOOF INTERVIEW WITH NANCY-ANN DEPARLE, OBAMA'S CZAR OF PUBLIC OPTION

Last week it was:

so now it's DEPARLE AFTER THE HEALTH CARE SUMMIT
:

DEPARLE: wants a wider market to pharmaceuticals/more business

DEPARLE: Obama's New Plan is a deal for some that may not happen.

(I say, who has the power? When the government isn't for the people, but for the powerful, we're then giving up more power to the govt. by giving them federally mandated control of health care.)

DEPARLE: there is an excise tax on high cost plans, but it was to discourage insurance companies/keep them in line...

DEPARLE: small pieces don't solve the problem!

"MEET THE PRESS ROUND TABLE" with David Gregory Guests: Cantor, Morial, Schulz, Brownstein, and Kay

Gregory: it's like we're having our own health care summit!! Do we have the votes?!

(Though Obama's plan is the only thing, EVER, that he's done that I even remotely like, it's not enough yet for me to endorse or approve. The revision process has been constipated by all of this HOOP-LA and people playing money games with just how much this is going to cost from the numbers from the CBO. While I pledged to work with Pelosi on the New Plan that seems to actually appropriate money for health care for the uninsured, not just abortions for the uninsured, we have a long ways to go with reconciliation in making reform measurably real and cost efficient. So far the govt. has been extremely cost inefficient and if that trend continues, it won't matter what they pass for health care, people are tired of their money being wasted!!!)

CANTOR: There's a reason that we're here at this point, it's not the different versions of the bills now, we do care and we want to affect it.....

(With all due respect to Cantor, I know that the Repubs have been holding the banner for the peoples' constitutional rights by telling Congress that we're not going to pay for abortions and we're not going to have a federally mandated health care system in our individual states, even it if means secession. We've got to go further, and protect people from being turned into cash cows for the stake holder's table, and this includes consumer protections regarding stem cell research for chronic disease when it's not advisable. Maybe I should develop a chronic disease treatment center/program in my state, to help people avoid costly trips to the doctor, so that they aren't exploited by pharmaceutical companies that prolong their lives another 7 to 10yrs. with all those side effects!! There is a better way, but states need to fund a chronic care center in their state, in order to do so!!)

SCHULZ: The votes will be there eventually, some components that everyone agrees on, but not packages of bills.

Gregory: But Obama hasn't sold the public on his version of Public Option!!

(Maybe perhaps because the most glaring fact is the deficit that Obama's spent himself into that he's not going to be able to spend himself out of!! I mean really, how do I owe the government $40,000 when I've never owned a home or bought a car that wasn't paid for, and at 29yrs. old have less than $10,000 in credit card debt and have my own business?? Now granted, I earned scholarships that paid for my education, so I don't owe that either, and I don't have the headache and burdens that most people do in my age bracket. I know 3 couples that are going through a mock divorce right now, and America wants to divorce her government..... can you blame her??!)

Morial: it will happen because it needs to/costs are exploding!!

(I say the govt. took over the car industry, and what was the result? They came up with a bogus cash-for-clunkers program that ended up wasting taxpayer money that people would've spent buying cars anyway!! Then Ford raised their sales 5%, but this had more to do with Toyota cutting their safety budget $238 million putting out crappier parts and products. So we spent all of this money in the private sector that should've stayed managed by businesses in the private sector, so now the govt. owns GM, and has done nothing with it, because they're good at doing nothing!! Take the housing market with that same idea in mind, we've had TARP and the stimulus, and none of that money delivered what it promised to stabilize the housing market or keep people in their jobs, it did nothing but keep the govt. in their jobs!! We really need less govt., as it's bloated and inefficient. To get out of the Great Depression, the govt. was cut in half, and we've approached a point where jobs have been so neglected in favor of focusing on Public Option for nearly two years now that Americans aren't willing to invest in their own country anymore.....)

MAYBE IF CONGRESS GETS A PINK SLIP, THEN THEY'LL KNOW HOW IT FEELS:

Brownstein: the depth of disagreement over health care has defeated every President who has taken it up!!

(It's hard to trust that Americans will get little more than an upgrade to Medicaid, and they're still worried about funding for abortion being levied on them anyway!!)

KATY: the Summit didn't change the exploding costs, we're already at #37 which is at Cuba's level for the care and the money that we're able to spend in America, and this will continue to slip more!!

(KATY IS RIGHT, I WORKED FOR A LONG TERM CARE FACILITY, AND WITH ALL ITS STRUCTURAL AND MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS AND STATE VIOLATIONS, WE HAD ENOUGH GOOD PEOPLE ON THAT STAFF TO KEEP THE BEDS FULL. OURS WASN'T THE MOST ILLUSTRIOUS OPERATION, I WAS AN ADMINISTRATIVE ASST. AND MANAGED THE PHONE FOR THE WHOLE BUILDING: 20 DEPARTMENT HEADS, AND CALLS FOR 100+ RESIDENTS. THE MORE MOBILE RESIDENTS LIKED ME SO MUCH, THAT THEY WOULD KEEP ME COMPANY AT THE FRONT DOOR. WE ALL HAD TO ROTATE SHIFTS FOR WEEKEND MANAGEMENT, TO PREVENT SITUATIONS LIKE WITH THIS POOR MAN ABOVE IN CUBA IS GOING THROUGH, AND SO THAT MEDICINE WAS DISPENSED PROPERLY AND ON TIME. I HAD MY RESERVATIONS ABOUT THE MASSIVE PAPER WORK FROM THE BUSINESS OFFICE AND THE PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES EMPHASIZED MORE THAN THE FOOD QUALITY THAT RESIDENTS RECEIVED, BUT ALL-IN-ALL, IT WAS A VERY HUMBLING AND INSIGHTFUL EXPERIENCE, AND WE CAN'T CUT MEDICARE, WE MUST IMPROVE IT !!! I know most places were worse than ours, and I really don't want to see the elderly disenfranchised by cuts to MEDICARE like this above, because the first thing that they cut is payroll!!! Then, there would be no staff to clean up and care for people, then the state would be forced to shut the place down for operating substandard.)

GREGORY: there are individual elements of health care that people like, but they distrutst that the govt. can deliver.

Morial: we need to do this for the private sector/private sector partnerships.

Cantor: yeah, but we can't if we don't get the costs down!! Accessing a Medicaid expansion, when it's a failed program won't work/the reimbursement sucks!!

I SEE THAT MY MESSAGE IS CATCHING ON SO LOUDLY, THAT I REALLY DON'T NEED TO SAY MUCH ANYMORE, THIS CARTOON MUST BE A LIKENESS OF ME DRINKING TEA, WITH GLASSES, AS A HUMAN PENCIL:

SCHULZ: this is about covering people!

Browstein: what it means on actually decreasing spending is how people see it though --

SCHULZ: STARTING OVER MEANS DOING NOTHING!

(I MEAN SHE WOULD KNOW BETTER THAN ANYBODY WHAT THAT MEANS, AS SHE DOES NOTHING BUT RUN HER MOUTH, AND SHE'S NOT EVEN GOOD AT THAT!)

Gregory: can you say yes to anything in the President's New plan?

Cantor: we need an incremental approach

(SCHULZ INTERRUPTS 5X, I THINK THAT IF YOU INTERRUPT, YOU HAVE TO HAVE DUCT TAPE PLACED ON YOUR MOUTH, AND WHEN IT'S YOUR TURN, DAVID GREGORY GETS TO RIP IT OFF.....)

Browstein: Repubs plan or Dems plan will bring costs down, but then the Dems plan starts to bring costs back up because the plan covers too much!

Gregory: but what are they saying YES to, or what political strategy is there now??

Katy: Repubs say NO, and they have the public supporting them in saying NO, as people are seeing the fall out with no focus on JOBS, JOBS, JOBS....

Cantor: if Pelosi rams the bill through, they will surely lose their majority voice/vote.

(SCHULZ continues to be so obnoxious, that I just wanted to flick her off of Cantor's shoulder like WOODSTOCK from "Snoopy" !!)

SCHULZ: goes on to say that Repubs agree with 80% of what's in the bills -- it's the other 20% that we've got to work on
(woodstock laugh)

Gregory: WHAT COULD BE IN THE FINAL BILL/WHAT DO YOU SUPPORT?
(ONE AT A TIME PLEASE!)

CANTOR: ending malpractice suits, universal access at state level, real state access purchasing...

Gregory: does health care tarnish Obama??

Katy: this is gumming up his time/WA is frozen on what to do with jobs because the cost of health care is so high and daunting that they don't dare lend him support for what he's doing, he's freezing the job market!!

CANTOR: Pelosi's breaking her promises every day...

(The interview that followed with Pelosi was not bad, and very subdued, not what I expected! A very soft-spoken lady, but I hope that really is the same demeanor in which we can work through the rest of the revisionary process.)

(The last round table discussion of the day was a little lackluster, I listened, but it I wasn't really interested in Krugmann plugging his book again, so it included all of the same talking points in their respective voices.)

Remember the 3AM phone call??? Well, this one wasn't a 3AM.....

(I DON'T THINK AMERICANS NEED TO RESORT TO CRASHING PLANES INTO ANYTHING, BUT IT JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU WHY CERTAIN PEOPLE FEEL THEIR ANGER IS NOT HEEDED, AND THEY'RE NOT RESPECTED, AS OBAMA THINKS THAT HE CAN TALK HIS WAY OUT OF ANYTHING BAD HAPPENING!!)

BY APRIL FOOL'S DAY, I THINK WE CAN EXPECT TO SEE SOMETHING LIKE THIS:
